Involvement of kids Dream team formation
Development workshop
Network security, year after year, is becoming more and more important in an era where we are becoming more and more connected. That’s why the partnership between Giffoni Innovation Hub and Kaspersky Italia continues and grows stronger, consolidating old projects and fielding new ones.
With the screening of the show “Kasper, Sky and the Green Bear,” Kaspersky is reaching out to young children and explaining how to defend themselves from the dangers of cyber bullying through the adventures of young Kasper and his friend Sky, who are helped by the magical green bear Kuma to discover the main safety rules for exploring the digital world without running into danger.
The text urges younger users to open up with parents and teachers and not hide threats encountered online or offenses from bullies, whether in the real world or online.
The cybersecurity project also involved the young talents of the Dream Team who, together with the Kaspersky Lab team, created a web video-ludic-experiential platform on safe surfing, bullying and cyber bullying dedicated to Italian elementary school children.
The initiative’s main goal is to create a network culture to help young people deal with the many unwanted pieces of information they may encounter online, talking more often about the risks and teaching them how to protect themselves and behave in the event of an incident.
Protect yourself, but from whom?
According to Morten Lehn , managing director of Kasperky Italy, in the near future “criminals” will be purely online, since that is where the real wealth is moving.
It takes very little to fall into the net of scammers or malicious people: all it takes is a click. It doesn’t just happen to the young or old, it can happen to anyone, even experts.
The project and screening were featured in the event at Giffoni Multimedia Valley.
The news was picked up by major national newspapers
