Today’s presentation at the
Innovation Village
in Naples along with the regional councillor for innovation, research and startups, Valeria Fascione and all the players involved in the initiative: Luca Tesauro, CEO & Co-Founder of. Giffoni Innovation Hub, Jacopo Gubitosi, general manager of Giffoni, Marco Messina, partner of Initiative and Roberto Parente, Full Professor at the University of Salerno.
GFK was born thanks to the driving force behind Giffoni, which has been the absolute international benchmark of the world of children for more than 50 years. It is an initiative dedicated to startups and projects that develop products and services aimed at the Kids & Teens market around the world, supporting ideas that can generate a positive impact on society and the lives of the younger generation.
The call is aimed at all established startups, as well as business ideas whose solution in the areas of Media, Education, Edutainment, Environment, Health, Design, Communication, Energy, Smart Communities, Games, Food and Fashion aim to realize a product/service or positive impact for the target audience of children and adolescents.
The different implementation phases designed for the GFK program include the implementation of actions aimed at the discovery and emergence of entrepreneurial talent; the implementation of qualified business mentoring; the involvement of industrial partners and stakeholders; the attraction of capital; the promotion of international pathways and missions to foster networking and business growth; and the involvement of specialized media to ensure a high media impact for the entire operation and the individual initiatives activated.
Giffoni Innovation Hub”s offerings for GFK include:
A three-month course, at the end of which the top 10 projects will be selected, with brand, product & service acceleration, strategic planning and go-to-market strategy activities, in which skills, know-how and tools will be provided to startuppers to develop their project to the fullest. Meeting rooms and coworking spaces to enable startups to work in Giffoni Multimedia Valley‘s state-of-the-art facilities. A guaranteed mentorship for each project in order to facilitate participants in contacting entrepreneurs and investors in the Giffoni network. Upon completion of the acceleration path, the best are offered participation in dedicated events, such as, the Startupitalia Open Summit.
Collaboration between companies, universities, research centers, business incubators and other players in the productive world will lead to the development and strengthening of an ecosystem for Innovation in Campania, capable of responding not only to regional but also national innovation needs.

It seems to me that it is the best synthesis between the Giffoni Festival and Innovation Hub, which is constantly developing through new projects, innovative activity and opportunities for young people.”

If we ask ourselves what the challenges are, who can make a contribution and in what way, we find the potential answers in the Giffoni ecosystem, which with projects like GFK can provide an opportunity for young people to be protagonists in entrepreneurial development.”
