With Infanzia Digit@les technology transforms education
Technology will change education but the revolution doesn’t have to lose sight of real communication, the Exchange between children and adults. This was said by all the professors, researchers and experts throughout the morning ay Antica Ramiera, where the results of the project Infanzia Digi.t@les, have been presented. Project started in 2014 to innovate education for the little ones.
Many are the realities involved: the company Engineering – who’s the head of the project – the University Federico II of Naples, La Sapienza of Rome, the universities of Trento and Salerno. But to take part of experimentation, now coming to an end, there have also been three administrations: the Municipality of Rome, and the Campania’s Regional Scholar Office and the Province of Trento. “The Giffoni Innovation Hub is the house of the digital cultural: the themes of innovation of the learning of the children that we care about a lot”, said Jacopo Gubitosi (in the picture on the right during the event), strategist manager of Giffoni Experience, adding his thanks to how many have contributed to raise Infanzia Digi.t@les with their proposals and researches.
A project that is called Infanzia Digi.tales 3.6. Why 3.6? Because the target to which is aimed: for children from 3 to 6 years old, there have been designed new instruments with an extremely technological appeal but at the same time tied to the traditional game and so creativity and know how. As for examples the Multi Activity Board, awarded as the best European prototype in 2017, as it is capable to create environments of smart learning. It’s about a little wooden blackboard, under which there’s an antenna that is able to automatically recognize any type of object market with a sticker chip.” That helps to create a direct connection between physical and digital environment, strengthening the relevance of storytelling”, explains Raffaele Di Fuccio, researcher of the Nac (Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence) of the Federico II.
Many the works that have been told during the morning, from the sensorial tablet Sniff to the musical footboard presented by the University of Trento. The heart of Infanzia Digi.t@ales, though synthesize Orazio Miglino, ordinary professor of Psychology of development at the University Federico II of Naples and director of Nac: “ Everything that has to deal with psycho-educational sphere is highly tied, as the Montessori taught, to our capacity to do and manipulate things and objects, it is evident that today differently from what was happening only a few years ago the object that surrounds us are way smarter, opening training potentialities ready to be discovered”
